Eyeport Nepal

A multi-vendor eyewear marketplace: optical shops sell frames, sunglasses and lenses online with cash on delivery.

The problem

Buying glasses online in Nepal meant guessing. Listings on social media gave a photo and a price but no frame size, so a pair that looked right often did not fit, and small optical shops had no way to sell outside their own street.

What we did

Eyeport Nepal is a marketplace where approved optical shops and eye clinics list their own stock. Every frame carries its lens width, bridge, temple length and total width, and a frame size guide shows a shopper how to read the numbers printed inside a pair they already own, so fit is checked before the order rather than after delivery. A bag can hold items from several shops; the order splits per shop, each shop packs and dispatches its own parcel, and every order is cash on delivery in rupees. Shops work from their own vendor portal with products, variants, stock and orders, while the admin approves sellers, sets commission and handles disputes. Clinics already running our eye-clinic software can connect it and publish their shelf stock without typing it in twice. Category, shape and style landing pages, per-product structured data and an llms.txt are built in from day one, so search engines and AI assistants can read the catalogue as well as people can.

What we built

  • Lens width, bridge, temple and total width on every frame
  • One bag across many shops, split into a parcel per shop
  • Cash on delivery only, with commission tracked per order
  • Vendor portal for products, stock and orders; admin approval for every seller
  • Clinic software connects so a clinic's shelf stock sells online
  • Text-size control and a low-glare eye-care reading mode

Beyond the website

A three-sided platform: the storefront, a portal for every optical shop, and a link into the clinic software eye clinics already use.
